NEXT EVENT: Summer Fayre on Saturday 11th July

The cake sales have been a great success with over £1000 raised in the 13/14 academic year towards FOS funds which is an incredible amount for cakes! Highest raised in the 13/14 school year was Reception with £120.55 closely followed by year 3 with £104.86 - well done!

The first cake sale this year had been for the whole school and all takings went to MacMillan Cancer Support. A BIG THANK YOU for the cake donation for ALL YEAR GROUPS, and for EVERYBODY, who came and joined us for a tea, coffee or cake. We raised £285!!!

We held a Parents Beer and BBQ evening on Friday 5th June 2015, which have been a great success with a grand total of £481.30. Thanks to everyone who attended, it was lovely to see so many families out enjoying themselves.

In 2014, the Summer Fayre held on July 12th last term was a huge success! Thank you to all those who supported this event, especially those who gave up their Saturday to help out. If you have any feedback regarding the fayre or ideas ahead of next year's then please message us through Facebook. We raised a total of £2442, which will be put towards purchasing P.E. and Year 1 payground equipment for the school. We are also looking into replacing the school bike racks in the KS1 playground at the school request.

FOS have also contributed towards the Year 6 hoodies for the Isle of Wight trip, and the leaving party that has been organised externally at the football club. We are also in discussions with Mr Sherlock over sports supplies.

Christmas Fayre - Feedback on the Christmas Fair has been very positive and the final figure raised was a fantastic £1600!!!  Half of this will go towards the minibus lease payment at the end o the school year.

We are currently looking into holding the Summer Fayre on July 11th and our next Bags 2 School collection scheduled for 11th November 2015.

The money raised from fundraising will be going towards the lease payments of our school minibus, and also to putting on events for the children throughout the year and wishlists that we have requested from each of the Year Groups.

FOS have agreed with the school that 50% of combined profit from the Christmas and Summer Fayres each academic year will go towards the lease purchase for the new minibus. For the 2013/14 school year this amounts to £1921. This agreement is for the 13/14 and 14/15 academic years initially and will be reviewed at the end of this period.

Bag2school
Some of you may have heard of this fundraising scheme where we send the children home with blue bag2school bags and ask that they are brought in a few weeks later full of clothes/textiles for collection from the school. The bags are collected and weighed and the school are paid for 50p per Kilo (£500 per tonne) of textiles collected. The textiles are then recycled or resold with the overall aim of reducing landfill waste. Further information can be found on the bag2school website.
