The Governing Body 

The governing body are a very important part of our school and have a duty to promote high standards of educational achievement. They do this by ensuring that the school development is well targeted and has impact, hold the Head teacher to account for the educational accomplishment of the pupils and oversee the financial performance of the school.

The governing body are an essential link between the community and the school. The school currently has 8 governors, two of whom are parent governors. The governing body want to ensure good links with the community and if there is anything you wish to discuss please contact any of the governors through the 'Contact Us' link at the top of this page.

We currently have governor vacancies. If you are interested in joining our governing body, please contact the Chair through the 'Contact Us' link with details of your area of expertise that you can offer the school. If you are a parent and would like to become a governor, we shall be asking for nominations in the latter part of the Summer term; however, please do come and talk to us if you are interested or just want a bit more information!

 

Responsibilities of the Local Governing Body are delegated by the Trust through the Scheme of Delegation. This document can be found here and sets out the responsibilities the Local Governing Body has in managing the school.
